Pick Up Sessions
Pick up sessions give the owner additonal help when they are falling behind. The trainer will take the dog out for 1-4 hours to practice their skills. This can be especially helpful for service dog training and behavioral modification.
Service Dog Evaluations
Service dog evaluations are done at pet friendly locations. We will do several tests to see whether or not your dog has the right temperament for service dog training. Testing will include reaction to loud noises and strange sites, food motivation, attention span, willingness to please, etc.
If we are testing a young puppy, then the Volhard Puppy Aptitude Test will be administered.
***If you're considering the use of a service animal and do not already have a dog, then please reach out before getting the dog! This will allow for a trainer to help find you a dog with the best possible temperament to prevent washing the dog from training.
Pet Evaluations
If you're a new pet owner or if you want to find a dog that fits your family perfectly, then its best to consult with a trainer before even getting a dog. Pet evaluations will give you an insight on the temperament of the dog you are interested in. They can be held at any shelter or location where the dog is being held.
Group Classes
We offer group classes to build the following skills; service dog training, service dog prep, CGC skills, confidence boosting, behavior in outdoor settings, and overall good behavior in public settings.
All dogs require an evaluation before joining group classes. Dogs with no prior training are required to start with private lessons unless otherwise noted. Aggressive dogs are required to be muzzle conditioned.
Group classes are in monthly packages of 3-6. Each class is $15-25. Sessions are an hour long.
